Space, drinking tea from complex to simple,
From simple to complex
Culture and tea, people and tea, space and tea
Tolerate each other in peace and respect
The tea is more fragrant and people are calmer.
The tea culture that has been around for thousands of years, from the story of a leaf to a vast history of tea, has fascinated many tea people. The fragrance, color, environment and meaning of tea have a real experience that can be touched, felt, viewed, appreciated and tasted. From ancient times to the present, tea drinkers have been tirelessly exploring the space of tea.
In the fast-paced urban life, tea space is a place that makes us feel warm in our hearts, a space with tea and life.
When it comes to tea space design, people will inevitably think of Chinese style and old school. However, in recent years, with the revival and advancement of tea culture, in the exploration of tea space, there have been more and more designers who know how to find the elegance of life. They start from the tea culture itself to create a Zen atmosphere of silence and enlightenment. Dare to break those traditional and inherent spatial patterns. In the grafting and mixture of modern elements, we see more possibilities for tea space design.
Simple and elegant
01
How to integrate modern living space with tea elements? Tea space is a science, making space a place for the soul to inhabit, allowing people to relax and be free in the impetuous and busy life. It is also an art. Therefore, how to explore its inner peace and tranquility in the busy city has become a quiet place. The eternal theme of Hui Cha Family.

Very oriental charm
The simple and Zen teahouses are all simple in color and mostly made of wood. The walls are often made of solid colors such as wood color and beige. Among them, teas of different years are arranged in a neat array in a grid. Each tea is laser-engraved with its own variety, place of origin and year. The exquisite small characters express the characteristics of each tea in a low-key and restrained manner.Information, giving people an elegant and quiet space enjoyment.
The small private room has a small threshold of 45cm, and the upper door frame is just 170cm which cannot be ignored. When people enter the private room, they will subconsciously lower their heads and bend down, which also echoes the humility spirit of traditional Chinese culture.
Modern Retro
02
Yantai Tea Space was renovated from an old factory building in the 1930s. The green bricks outside have turned reddish-brown after years of weather erosion, making it look very retro and charming. The building looks retro on the outside, but when you walk inside, you will find a whole other world. Neatly arranged green metal structures wrapped in white terrazzo extend to the upper floors.
The designer stripped the space back to its original state, exposing the metallic steel structure and letting the old bricks and ceilings shine again. The first floor uses a large amount of blue bricks, metal, and vacuum stone to create a natural space with texture, allowing people to better feel nature and art.
The tea room is a structure with upper and lower floors. The top of the tea room upstairs changes in undulations, and the floor-to-ceiling glass windows on both sides maintain a broad view. The glass skylight in the top corner can better introduce natural light. The exterior of the tea room is made of dark stainless steel, which dimly reflects the surrounding environment. The lower part of the tea room is completely transparent glass, with warm lighting, making the entire tea space more warm and natural.
Unlimited creativity

The Forbidden City was the royal palace of the Ming and Qing Dynasties and is listed as a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage. There is a souvenir shop outside the east gate of the city. It was formerly a private club called Beijing Tea House. It has a unique architectural style. It is almost entirely made of translucent plastic bricks. It is full of creativity and forms a strong contrast with other shops.
ThisThe "Beijing Translucent Brick Teahouse" designed by Kengo Kuma Architects Office imitates the Japanese paper sliding doors and partitions common in traditional Asian architecture. The internal walls and ceilings are made of long polyethylene bricks. The interior is hollow, and the bricks are connected with translucent blue polycarbonate boards.
The entire teahouse is assembled from ceiling to wall using H-shaped and square translucent white plastic modules, allowing part of the sunlight to "seep" in from the wall during the day, creating a gentle and Zen-like artistic conception. It is another modern Chinese characteristic.
Chinese style light luxury
04
In today's era when Chinese elements are popular all over the world,
A passionate collision of traditional elements and modern style,
The new Chinese style came into being.
The new Chinese-style teahouse pays attention to a kind of charm. It inherits Chinese classical culture and architectural style while incorporating simple modern design elements. The materials highlight the rustic original texture, and adds traditional oriental Zen scenery. It can meet the needs of modern people and virtually give them a new modern style.
Brush, ink, paper, inkstone, and tea sets and porcelain are the finishing touches in the new Chinese style. They are paired with green plants to express the Chinese sentiment of the space. Among them, bright reflective materials such as metal frames, marble and glass bring a sense of fashionable luxury to the entire space, instantly making the elegant and tranquil new Chinese style feel softer and freer.
Dongpeng ART+, the Daqian Jushi category advocates the modern Chinese style as the design style. Through artistic creation, the brushstrokes of splashing colors and ink paintings are displayed in the stone, continuing the oriental minimalist beauty, while showing Zen charm and modern fashion.
