Railway Construction Heavy Industry's "Straits Express" shield machine helps the Singapore cross-sea water tunnel project to be successfully completed

This cross-sea tunnel connects Singapore's Tuas Water Recycling and Treatment Plant and the core industrial area Jurong Island. It is one of the key infrastructure projects of Singapore's water system. The tunnel penetrates the seabed for a long distance, the construction water pressure is high, and it passes through mudstone, siltstone and sandstone for a long distance. The rock compressive strength is high, and there are fractured and fractured zone strata in the tunnel section, making the construction difficult.
